In-depth Report

Kaiber first became famous as an "audio-responsive music video generator". From 2024 to 2025, the product was polished into an infinite canvas workflow around Superstudio. In 2026, it was officially split into a three-piece creative suite of Canvas, Beat Sync, and Editor - which is the "Kaiber 2" marked in this product express. It is essentially an aggregated creation platform that brings together multiple top video/image models (Nano Banana, Veo, Kling, Luma, Wan, MiniMax, etc.) on the same canvas. The biggest strength is still the audio response capability of "making the picture move to the beat of the music." The shortcomings are the fast consumption of points, unstable film production, and the fact that the market will be robbed by cheaper Kling and Seedance in 2026.
-
Kaiber is run by a small American team that claims to be "designed by musicians." It does not disclose the financing rounds with any fanfare. The official statement repeatedly emphasizes that the team is "compact" and relies on the product itself to speak for itself. The starting point of its popularity is very clear: Linkin Park used Kaiber to make the AI music video for "Lost", which established the fact that "musicians can also create visuals without any barriers." The product name that Kaiber mainly promoted in the early days was Superstudio—a node-based, infinitely extendable canvas that connected scenes, styles, audio, and animations into a stream. After entering the "Kaiber 2" stage, the official took away the brand name Superstudio and changed it to the "Kaiber Suite" to the outside world, splitting it into three independent and interconnected workspaces. The core appeal of this one-size-fits-all approach is to allow the three capabilities of generation, stuck points, and editing to be developed separately, rather than being squeezed into one canvas and becoming heavier.
-
Canvas is the main site for generation, formerly known as Superstudio Canvas. Users start with a reference picture or a prompt word, and generate videos, images, and audio in the open AI workspace. They can also use the officially provided "selected workflow" to select models for you, eliminating the need to choose by yourself. Its biggest selling point is the aggregation of multiple models: Nano Banana, Veo, Kling, Wan, MiniMax Hailuo, Luma, Flipbook, and Flux images are all hung directly on the canvas. You can change the style by changing the model with the same prompt word, without having to jump repeatedly between multiple subscriptions. Beat Sync (called Cuts in the early days) is Kaiber’s signature sound. Upload a piece of music plus several pictures or videos, and it will automatically cut it according to the beat, generate up to 10 stuck videos, automatically add subtitles, and automatically cut it according to the size of the platform. There is almost no need to write prompt words in the whole process. It provides four types: Instant Cut, Shuffle Cut, Motion Cut, and Scene Cut. It can also automatically slice and remix long videos, generate similar variations with one click, and supports linking Pinterest accounts to import inspiration images. This is the most direct time-saving point for musicians and social media operators who need to "batch production". Editor takes over the original Timeline Edit and is a lightweight timeline editor that is used to connect clips, stack audio, add transitions and subtitles, and export at various ratios. It is positioned as the "finishing layer", combining the output of Canvas and Beat Sync into a finished film that can be directly distributed, rather than replacing a complete non-linear editing software. Running through the three is the audio response engine: the picture pulses, switches, and shifts with the beat. This is also the key to the difference between Kaiber and general video tools such as Runway and Pika. Further up, the paid version supports training custom models with own works (locking in brand aesthetics), 4K upscaling export, and mobile apps covering iOS and Android, bringing the audio response engine to mobile phones.

Kaiber uses a composite billing method of subscription plus points. The current (2026) mainstream tiers are: Flex free, pay-as-you-go, model limited, only 2 canvases, not commercially available, no Beat Sync; Creator monthly fee is US$29, 1,400 points per month, unlimited Beat Sync and timeline editing, unlocks all models, trainable custom models, including commercial license; Pro monthly fee is US$149, 7,500 points, unlimited canvas, early access to new models; Visionary Get a custom quote. Additional points packages are available: 300 points for $5, 1,000 points for $15, 3,500 points for $50, 20,000 points for $250. It should be reminded that Kaiber’s pricing has been turbulent in the past: many reviews in 2025 still stated that the Starter/Creator tier was $10/$25, but by 2026 it had been raised to $29/149, and new users had a 5-day trial. In the early days, the free trial was suspended due to brushing and fraud (a tenfold increase according to MetaversePost reports), and was later restarted with a “40-second free trial per video.” For overseas users, currency conversion will make the actual monthly fee significantly higher, which is also a recurring point in complaints.

Positive feedback was concentrated in three places. First, it is quick to get started and friendly to beginners. Even if the interface is node-based, it is easier to understand than most AI video tools. Second, with multiple inputs and multiple models, you can start with text, pictures, and videos. If you want to try out different styles, just switch to Kling, Luma, Veo, and Wan. Third, Beat Sync is almost "out-of-the-box" for music video and Reels creators, and with an active Discord community, there are people who can help you out. Many independent musicians and DJs use it as a standard for releasing songs. Negative feedback has also been consistent. First, short videos are ridiculously expensive: a 4-second Motion clip may cost more than 30 points, and 1,400 points is only enough for about 40 short clips. Second, you have to pay twice for quality - the first rendering is low resolution, and points will be deducted for upgrading to 1080p or 4K. Third, re-running reminder words are also charged, and many people lose hundreds of points just for a usable video. Fourth, the results are unstable. This time it is amazing and the next time it goes wrong. Fifth, the built-in editor is too crude and can only cut, rearrange and add subtitles. Sixth, better models are locked in higher gears. In a word: it is more like a "creative laboratory" than a "stable production line".

Kaiber still has a place in Hengping, the AI video tool of 2026. Digen.ai's "Top 5 AI Video Tools 2026" ranked it as the fifth "Kaiber 2.0 - Creative Short Film Content", saying that its emotional templates and keyframe control are suitable for platforms such as TikTok and Reels; PC Tech Magazine also rated it as "The Best Creative Narrative AI Video Tool" in its 2026 review. But the heat curve is a different story. Data from Tools for Humans shows that Kaiber’s searches peaked at over 33,000 per month in May 2023, dropped 84% within 18 months, and stabilized in the range of 4,000 to 8,000 per month at the end of 2024, indicating that the “viral period” has passed, leaving only a small but stable number of core users. Toolradar's review is more straightforward: Kaiber is the first choice for music videos in 2024-2025, but the biggest complaint in 2026 is that "cheaper and better tools killed it" - Kling has a monthly fee of US$5.99, and Seedance 2.0 has a free version, which can cover the needs of music video points, while Kaiber still has points friction.
-
The reputation is obviously polarized. As of 2026, Kaiber has only 2.9/5 out of 163 reviews on Trustpilot, while Product Hunt has only 11 reviews out to a 4.2/5. This split in itself shows that the paid experience for real users is not easy. Billing and refunds are the hardest hit areas. A large number of complaints on Trustpilot pointed to automatic deductions after the free trial expired, refund rejections, and poor customer service attitude. The most famous one was an exchange of words between a user and a customer service agent with the pseudonym "Phil", who publicly replied, "We don't care about bad reviews." Some overseas users complained that the currency conversion was ridiculously expensive and the cancellation process was not transparent. The erosion of brand trust caused by these reputation issues is more worthy of vigilance than the model capabilities themselves. Product risks are also real: the quality of general video is obviously behind Runway Gen-4, Kling, and Seedance 2.0; it is more suitable for stylized music and abstract vision, but is not good at realistic narratives and feature films; it has weak control over fine camera movements (lens path, character consistency). For heavy users, the speed at which points bottom out will almost inevitably lead to secondary consumption.
-
Suitable for: independent musicians and DJs who need audio-responsive visuals; short video creators who make TikTok/Reels/Shorts; beginners who want to try out various video models at a low cost; designers who explore styles and concept art. Not suitable for: Teams pursuing realistic narratives and complete editing control; daily updates, mass-production creators (points will run out quickly); users with sensitive budgets who want to "pay enough once". In terms of alternatives, if you only need music and want to save money, Kling and Seedance 2.0 are already there; if you need a complete timeline refinement, full-featured editors with built-in AI such as Wondershare Movie Studio are more convenient; if you want to be versatile and prioritize quality, Runway Gen-4 is still an all-rounder.
-
Kaiber 2 has made "aggregated multi-model + audio response" its own moat, and is still one of the fastest choices for musicians and social media creators to produce films; however, the point billing is too expensive, the film production is unstable, and the billing reputation is short-circuited, which will make it fall back from a "popular product" to a "circle weapon" in 2026. Think clearly before buying: Do you want to save time and click videos, or do you want to stabilize mass production? Kaiber is only good at the first half of these two things.
User Reviews
-
JCox_Pro89—卡点太爽了! -
Thomas.
Carolyn.
Andrew.Anderson_2022—新手一小时出片,门槛确实低。 -
Cynthia.
