Opera Neon is the first AI Agentic Browser (AI agent browser) officially released by the Norwegian browser company Opera on September 30, 2025. It adopts a subscription-based business model with a monthly fee of US$19.99. Opera Neon's core functional framework revolves around five modules: "Tasks", "Cards", "Chat", "Make" and "Neon Do". Each module is nested with each other to build a complete AI agent browsing experience. The Tasks function is the core innovation of Neon. It creates a self-contained workspace for each task, allowing users to consolidate multiple websites, documents, and AI conversations simultaneously in a single context, while the AI provides targeted assistance based on the complete context of the task. For example, when planning a trip to Japan, users can simultaneously check flight booking pages, hotel reviews, and attraction guides in one task, and delve into each option through built-in Chat. This kind of cross-site context awareness cannot be achieved by traditional tab management and ordinary AI assistants. The Cards feature is Neon’s unique reminder enhancement tool. Users can add predefined command "cards" to AI prompt words to achieve modularity and reusability of commands. Users can create their own cards or choose from a library of cards shared by the community. For example, using the "Details Extraction" and "Comparison Table" cards in combination allows AI to automatically organize product information and generate a structured comparison view. At present, a variety of professional cards have appeared in the community, covering scenarios such as product research, meeting minutes, and travel planning. Make allows users to create websites, games, videos, reports or tools within the browser using natural language commands and using AI. The creation result will generate a complete source file that can be saved offline, and comes with a shareable URL, which is suitable for content creators who need quick output and business users who need collaborative presentations. Neon Do is Neon's agent execution engine. Unlike traditional AI assistants that rely on cloud APIs, Neon Do runs directly in the user's browser session and can perform real-world operations such as opening/closing tabs, filling out forms, placing orders, collecting information, applying for jobs, and more. The operation process is visualized in real time, and users can pause or take over control at any time. Because it runs in a real browser environment where users have logged in, Neon Do does not require additional authentication and simulates real user behavior, with better accuracy and security than cloud proxy solutions. In terms of basic functions, Opera Neon is developed based on the Opera browser core, inherits Opera's iconic ad blocker, free VPN, bookmark management and other core functions, and supports Discord community communication.
