SolCex iOS

The first CEX mobile app on Solana ecosystem, offering spot trading, staking, savings, and Launchpad for one-stop crypto financial services

In-depth Report

  • SolCex is the first centralized exchange (CEX) on the Solana ecosystem. It will be launched in mid-2024 and has operated without any security incidents for two years. In March 2026, its iOS/Android mobile app was officially launched, marking the platform's transition from the pure web to the mobile era. The platform has more than 50,000 registered users, and the native token $SOLCEX provides practical scenarios such as fee discounts, staking benefits, and Launchpad priority. SolCex is positioned between traditional CEX and Solana DEX. Its core competitiveness lies in the combination of security records and Solana's high-performance infrastructure. However, it is currently small in size, has limited transparency, and has not been logged into CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

  • SolCex was founded in 2024 and is headquartered in Dubai, UAE. The project contact is Mark Tod, and the official website is solcex.io. SolCex is positioned as the first centralized exchange in the Solana ecosystem, forming differentiated competition with Jupiter (DEX aggregator) and Raydium (AMM DEX) - it provides traditional financial channels for deposits and withdrawals (Visa/Mastercard currency purchase, legal currency OTC), lowering the threshold for non-crypto native users. In February 2026, SolCex announced that it had entered a "major expansion phase." In the past two years, the team has chosen an "infrastructure first" strategy - first establishing a solid security architecture, stability and compliance framework, and then starting to expand rapidly. At that time, the platform had 50,000 registered users, all of which were obtained through natural growth on the web side, and did not rely on mobile applications to attract traffic. On March 3, 2026, the SolCex mobile app was launched on Google Play and Apple App Store at the same time, becoming a key turning point in the platform’s growth strategy.

  • SolCex mobile App covers most of the core functions of the web side: spot trading is the most basic function, and the App has built-in charting tools and supports multiple mainstream trading pairs such as BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, SOL/USDT, BNB/USDT, etc. The platform is also expanding to multi-chain and has been connected to the BSC, ETH, and SUI networks, and will further increase asset types in the future. The savings product (SolCex Savings) is a recently launched function. Users can place assets on the platform to obtain passive income. The staking pool (Staking) has over $90 of $SOLCEX pledged, providing independent APY income and forming two different interest-earning models with savings products. Launchpad is another important module that provides $SOLCEX holders with early token subscription opportunities, similar to the model of Binance Launchpad. The VIP airdrop program has also been launched. Users holding at least 400,000 $SOLCEX can receive new currency airdrops in proportion to their holdings. As of February, 18,000 USDT equivalent tokens have been distributed. The P2P trading function allows users to directly buy and sell cryptocurrencies between users, and cooperates with legal currency deposit and withdrawal channels (Visa/Mastercard currency purchase), allowing new users without encrypted wallets to enter. The SolCex Academy education platform was also launched simultaneously, providing learning resources on trading basics, blockchain concepts and platform navigation. In terms of competing products, compared with first-tier CEXs such as Binance and Bybit, SolCex has a significant gap in the number of trading pairs and liquidity. The daily trading volume is only about US$260,000, and large transactions are prone to slippage. But its advantage lies in the low latency and high throughput brought by Solana infrastructure, as well as its security record of zero hackers since its inception.

  • SolCex’s base spot trading fee is approximately 1.75%, which is mid-range for small and mid-sized CEXs. Enjoy a 30% discount when paying fees using $SOLCEX tokens. The platform adopts a tiered fee structure. The higher the VIP level, the lower the fee. The platform’s main revenue comes from transaction fees, currency listing fees and future Launchpad service fees. The total supply of $SOLCEX tokens is 1 billion, about 99.9% have been circulated, the current price is about $0.0019-0.0032, and the market value is about 1.58 million to 6.6 million U.S. dollars, which is a micro-market capitalization token. The highest market value in history was US$67 million (November 2024).

  • Judging from community data, SolCex has about 42,000 X (Twitter) fans and about 12,100 subscribers in the Telegram community. Feedback from users in the Telegram community is quite polarized—some people approve of the platform’s transaction speed and staking returns, while others complain about the team’s opaque communication and slow withdrawal response. After the mobile app was launched, $SOLCEX surged 132% within a week, indicating that the market has high recognition of the mobile strategy. However, the specific rating data on the App Store and Google Play has not yet been made public, and user review texts are also lack of system inclusion. Some users questioned on the forum that "Solcard and Solcex look like scams." The main reason is that the team's information is not transparent and there is no third-party security audit report. Such doubts are not uncommon among niche CEXs, but they do reflect SolCex’s shortcomings in trust building.

  • Many overseas financial media have reported on SolCex, including GlobeNewswire, Cointelegraph, Manila Times, etc. In terms of Chinese media, AICoin and 528BTC have translations and reprints, but there is a lack of original and in-depth reports in Chinese. SolCex has obtained the "Strict List" certification of Jupiter Liquidity Aggregator, which is one of the more stringent security audit standards in the Solana ecosystem. The platform team has been invited to attend President Trump’s private dinner, demonstrating its investment in industry relations and influence building. However, it should be pointed out that these are more actions at the brand exposure level and are not completely equivalent to the actual competitiveness of products and technologies.

  • Transparency is SolCex’s biggest shortcoming at present. The team did not disclose the real names of the founders or core members, did not disclose corporate registration entity information, and did not release a third-party security audit report. Security software Gridinsoft marked solcex.cc as "suspicious" with a trust score of 15/100, which, while not entirely reflective of the actual security of the platform, poses a barrier to trust among potential users. Liquidity risk cannot be ignored either. With daily trading volume of only $260,000, micro-cap tokens are highly volatile and large transactions are prone to significant slippage. The platform’s roadmap includes futures trading, Visa encrypted debit card, stock trading and other functions, but most of them have not yet been implemented and there are execution risks. In addition, SolCex has not yet been able to log into CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko - although the team plans to promote these inclusions after the mobile app is fully launched - which means that its visibility in the mainstream market is almost zero, which is a great restriction for its acquisition of new users.

  • SolCex is suitable for retail traders who have a deep understanding of the Solana ecosystem and are willing to test the waters on a niche platform. There are discounts for paying fees with $SOLCEX tokens, and staking and savings products also offer great passive income options. However, users with large amounts of money should be extremely cautious on SolCex. Insufficient liquidity and lack of transparency mean that risks are uncontrollable. For institutional investors and risk-averse users, it is not a suitable time to enter the market. It is recommended that the platform completes third-party audits, publishes team information, and logs into mainstream popular websites before making an evaluation. The mobile app is just the beginning. Whether SolCex can move from a scale of 50,000 users to a true "Tier 1 exchange" will take time to verify.

  • SolCex is a distinctive Solana ecological CEX. Its security record and mobile strategy are its most eye-catching labels. However, lack of transparency and too small scale are shortcomings that cannot be bypassed. It has chosen the expansion path of "stable first and then fast", which is in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of execution - especially the hard core of trust building.

The iOS version is finally on the App Store. I was trading on the web before, it's smooth enough. The app UI is cleaner than I expected. There really aren't many CEXes on Solana, this is a legitimate option.

Used it for a month before realizing paying fees with SOLCEX gets a 30% discount. Missed out on a lot before. But the trading volume is still too low, slippage is noticeable on bigger orders.

The app is quite smooth. Just not enough coins listed yet. I'll deposit more when they add more trading pairs.

Staking yield is decent. There's over $900k in the pool right now. I threw some SOLCEX in there, and checking the daily returns is nice.

To be honest, the team info is too opaque. Don't even know who the founder is. Even with a two-year security record, it still feels a bit sketchy.

I tried the Savings feature as soon as it came out. The interest is way better than banks. But I don't dare to put too much in, since it's a small exchange.

The candlestick chart on the app is well made, and data refreshes pretty fast. But withdrawal speed is inconsistent, sometimes you have to wait over ten minutes.

That VIP airdrop plan requires holding 400,000 SOLCEX. That's a pretty high threshold. Small retail investors really can't reach it.

Feedback in the Telegram group is pretty polarized. Some say it's good, others say withdrawals got stuck. I've withdrawn twice myself and both arrived fine.

Daily trading volume is only around $200k. To be honest, liquidity is indeed concerning. I definitely wouldn't dare to do large trades here.

Supporting Visa/Mastercard for direct crypto purchase is beginner-friendly. Saves the hassle of transferring from other exchanges.

Heard the team even attended Trump's dinner. Whether it's a gimmick or not, at least it shows they have connections. Hopefully they can actually deliver what's on the roadmap.

The Launchpad feature is about to go live. Let's see if there are any good projects. Hopefully it'll be like Binance where you can get promising new coins.

Gridinsoft marked this site as suspicious with a score of only 15/100. It might not be accurate, but it still doesn't feel good seeing that. When will they release a third-party audit report?

What I value most is its two-year zero-incident track record. Even major exchanges have been hacked multiple times. Two years without any incident shows the fundamentals are solid.

I started using the iOS app back when it was on TestFlight. The official version is definitely much more stable. But it still doesn't have all the features of the web version, so I have to switch back to the computer for some things.

The tutorial content in SolCex Academy is just okay, too basic. Hope they release some in-depth strategy analysis content later.

The P2P trading feature is quite practical, letting you buy and sell directly without a third party. But the matching speed is sometimes slow, and there aren't many buyer matches.

SOLCEX shot up 132% in the first week after the app launched. Too bad I missed it. Long-term though, it still depends on whether the product delivers.

BSC and ETH chains are already connected, the types of assets are gradually increasing. If they could also integrate the BTC chain, that'd be even better — many exchanges already support it.

Been using it for half a year — overall feeling is OK. The 1.75% fee isn't the lowest, but with the token discount (30% off) it's acceptable.

SolCex's service attitude is decent — I ask questions on Telegram and they reply relatively fast. Some small exchanges you wait all day for a response.

Downloaded the App as soon as it launched — the interface looks great, makes you want to keep using it. Finally I can check the market anytime on my phone.

Downloaded the App as soon as it launched — found it directly on Google Play. The overall experience is similar to Binance's Lite mode, but cleaner.

Been using SolCex since 2024, watched it evolve step by step. From web-only to having a mobile app, the team is definitely working. But not being listed on CoinMarketCap yet is a bit of a setback.

I traded on SolCex for a month — overall decent experience. The spot trading interface is clean, no messy ads or pop-ups, which is better than some big exchanges. But honestly, liquidity is a real problem. I had a SOL sell order of about 5000 USDT that had to be filled in three batches, with significant price slippage. If you're doing high-frequency or large trades, I'd recommend sticking to mainstream exchanges. It's fine for small amounts or holding SOLCEX for staking.

Let me talk about the SolCex staking experience. I put my SOLCEX into the staking pool at the beginning of the year — the APR fluctuates around 15%. Not high compared to those crazy 100% mining coins, but it's stable. The team hasn't pulled any sudden staking rule changes either. I've been staking for half a year now, checking the weekly rewards — not getting rich but steady. The only annoyance is the 7-day unlock period — when the market moves, you can't get out. If they could shorten the lock-up to 3 days, that'd be better.

SolCex has come a long way — from a small platform with just a few trading pairs to having an App, staking, and savings products. I discovered it while trading meme coins in the Solana ecosystem. I was looking for a platform that supports direct fiat on-ramp, and SolCex's Visa buy feature was a huge help. But the customer service response time is too inconsistent — sometimes instant, sometimes no reply for two days. I hope the team can professionalize their support system since fund-related inquiries can't afford to wait.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about SolCex. On one hand, it does fill the gap of a proper CEX in the Solana ecosystem, and its two-year zero-incident security record is rare in the industry. On the other hand, the team info is completely opaque — no public audit reports, no founder's LinkedIn, not even the company's registration location (obtained through third-party sites). Can this level of anonymity really go far under the 2025 compliance environment? I think for SolCex to become a true Tier 1, they need to make substantial investments in transparency and compliance — security record alone is not enough.
